EAP Malaysia is the pioneer of the provision of Applied Behavioural Evaluation (ABA) treatment in Malaysia and was started by Wisconsin Early Autism Project (WEAP) in September 2006. For all therapists, a first training including 20 hours of classes and 3 weeks on hand-held training is required prior to beginning deal with a youngster with autism after which normal fortnightly otherwise once a week supervision is given via routine overlaps and group conferences.

Additionally, WEAP's published research in the American Journal of Dementia (November 2005 concern) followed Dr. Ivar Lovaas' research in 1987 and 1993 wherein 48% history of early childhood education in malaysia the children that joined the intensive behavioural treatment had the ability to catch up and get involved efficiently in normal college.
