Likely owned and operated by a lawyer named James C. Stoneall, "Stoneall's Bar" was located on the ground floor of 29 Ann St, Manhattan. On the evening 11 Aug 1841 a meeting of citizens was had here to organize a committee for the purpose of gathering funds for a reward toward information leading to the apprehension of Mary Rogers killer.
