Samuel Hearst Meek was a clerk at an A&P in Atlanta, Georgia when George Harsh walked in to rob the place.  Samuel pulled a pistol from behind the counter and began firing.  Harsh returned fire and hit Samuel in the abdonmen, penetrating his stomach and intestines.  He was taken to the hospital where surgery was performed but he died the next evening.  His funeral was held at 11 am on Tue, Oct 9 at the Powder Springs Methodist Church
